Film Notes and Highlights
Beau Brade is a unique safety. He does very well in short and intermediate zone, showing great field awareness and ability to read the quarterback. In deep zone, he struggles covering large areas and does not have the speed to close gaps quickly. In man and press coverage, he has a tendency to be thrown off his coverage at point of contact and breaks. It can lead to him losing a step especially against faster players.
In run support, Beau Brade is active, but needs discipline. He tends to over pursue on tackles, and takes poor angles at times. He does well shedding blocks, and this shows when blitzing, too. Personally, I think he would be best suited playing WILL linebacker in the NFL, as he does have nice short area speed. As a safety prospect, Brade is a Day 3 player in my opinion. – Thomas Christopher
