Film Notes and Highlights
Bo Nix showed good leadership during his time at Oregon and that extended to the Senior Bowl in Mobile. There, he frequently communicated with his offensive grouping to help understand concepts being ran. While Nix shows he completely understands these concepts, it does seem like he has real issues navigating opposing defensive coverages.
Bo Nix doesn’t have a cannon for an arm, but shows adequate arm strength. However, he seems more than happy to check down than to give his receivers jump ball opportunities in one-on-one coverage – and, when he did, the accuracy was inconsistent. Nix has grown each year as a player in his five-year collegiate career, but it’s difficult to consider him anything more than a Day 2 prospect. He will best succeed if he’s able to sit for a year or two before becoming a starting quarterback. – Thomas Christopher
