Film Notes and Highlights
Brenden Rice is a high IQ football player. He displays great footwork and understanding on where to attack cornerback blind spots and mixing up movements on his stems. He performs adequately against both man and zone coverages. Rice especially excels during scramble drills, where he always seems to be at the right place at the right time for his quarterback. However, his lack of short area speed – as well as his long speed – draw concerns about getting separation at the next level. His ability to produce in the league is a real wildcard. For the 2024 NFL draft, I believe he is a late Day 2 prospect. – Thomas Christopher
