Film Notes and Highlights

Caelen Carson is a cornerback who was asked to play both outside and in the slot at Wake Forest. He plays well in man coverage, but often plays far too soft – allowing underneath routes to be completed with ease. On other routes, Carson can get handsy on breaks and the top of routes, which could lead to trouble in the NFL. However, he doesn’t let size deter him and is feisty against bigger players. In zone coverage, at times Carson can seem lost and allow plays to happen directly behind him.

While Carson will attack on screens, he’s not very helpful as a run support cornerback. Currently I have a Day 3 grade on Caelen Carson. – Thomas Christopher
