Calen Bullock is a rangy safety prospect. He has a good frame, and excellent speed. He plays well in man coverage, but has concerns when in zone. Playing deep safety, he has discipline issues and can be heavily influenced by the quarterback, allowing for big plays to happen.
In run support, Bullock is mostly a non-factor. He surprised at times making two great one-on-one goal line stands, but more often than not he was a detriment to the defense in this regard. His effort in run support and pursuit is noticeably less than when he’s asked to play in coverage. I believe Bullock is a Day 3 prospect who’d likely perform better in a Nickelback role than as a pure safety. – Thomas Christopher
