Film Notes and Highlights
Cole Bishop is a multi-tool safety who played throughout the defensive alignment with Utah. He’s a hard hitting, playmaking safety, although durability is a concern. In run support he shows good instinct and isn’t afraid to meet the running back in the hole. At times he struggles to get off OL blocks, but shows great pursuit angles.
In coverage, Bishop has the speed to perform well in man coverage and close gaps in zone coverage. He does have discipline issues as a deep safety, biting on short routes and letting longer developing plays go past him. Currently I have a late Day 2 grade on Cole Bishop. – Thomas Christopher
