Film Notes and Highlights
Dadrion Taylor-Demerson is a undersized safety with a lot of speed. He performs well in his ability to read the field as a free safety, but struggles in man and intermediate coverages. Taylor-Demerson has the speed and hip fluidity to perform in man coverage, but lacks true instinct in that role.
In run support, Dadrion Taylor-Demerson shows a good effort and willingness to make a tackle in hopes of making a big play. The problem is his tackling technique is very dangerous – and could potentially lead to him suffering a severe injury. Very often he puts his head down without keeping his eyes up, leading to whiffs. He has imperfect pursuit angles but hits with velocity due to his great speed. Currently I have Dadrion Taylor-Demerson as a Day 3 pick. If he can bulk up once he hits the NFL and refines his play he could become a good backup safety. – Thomas Christopher
