Film Notes and Highlights
Darius Muasau is a high energy linebacker. He does well in man coverage against running backs, but struggles against nuanced route runners and overcommits in zone coverage. This leads to easy completions and chunk plays. As a pass rusher and in the run game, Muasau shows bad hand placement. This allows him to get stonewalled far too often. He also lacks the strength to recover once engaged by OL. He frequently allows himself to be taken out at the second level on run plays and hesitates to attack the hole. Muasau is weak at the tackle point and most of his contact comes in gang tackles. His motor will allow him to stay with a play 10+ yards downfield, but his angles can be much improved. I believe Darius Muasau will be a UDFA prospect going into 2024. – Thomas Christopher
