Film Notes and Highlights

Isaiah Williams has improved every year in the last three years he has been at Illinois and finally surpassed the 1,000 yard receiving mark in 2023. He has not had the best quarterbacks and that has kept his usage high on shorter passes. Williams has been at 65% or more passes 9 yards or less from the line of scrimmage. Heis an athlete that is explosive and slippery when defenders try to tackle him. He has good feet to change direction and is a smooth runner.

Williams is quick in and out of breaks but I think needs to expand his route tree. He seemed to get better at tracking the ball down the field in 2023 but that still needs to be worked on. Williams will be a slot receiver at the next level but his ability in space is something teams will really like and hopefully get him on the field early in his career. – Brandon Haye
