Film Notes and Highlights
Jaheim Bell is an interesting player. I believe he is a tweener at the position, and I do not know if he projects as a true tight end in the NFL. I think he would be more of a H-Back or hybrid player. He has versatility in that he has lined up on the line, the slot, outside, and even in the backfield. He is athletic and a smooth runner but I did not see the greatest routes. Florida State tried to get the ball in his hands in space and let his athleticism win out. When Bell did run seam routes or crosses he was able to stretch the field and was a matchup nightmare. He needs to go to a team that can be creative in how he is used until he can learn more technique in blocking and route running. – Brandon Haye

Florida State's Jaheim Bell was third-fastest TE at Combine but, more importantly, that speed shows up on tape.
Checkout how Bell (slot) simply outruns LSU defensive backs in this clip.
Slow-mo shows him busting pursuit angles. 👀
