Film Notes and Highlights
Javion Cohen is a very cerebral player. He understands his responsibility on defensive stunts, and shows a good IQ on on recognition. Cohen has good length, but does not often attack from his position. Instead, he sits to embrace contact and fend off defenders. Because of this, he has a tendency to struggle as a run blocker. It’s hard to tell if Cohen was asked to gain weight at Miami, but he seemed to play worse than during his time at Alabama. However, Cohen showed how talented he was at the Senior Bowl. There, he won multiple one-on-one reps in solo drills as well as in live practice. I believe Cohen is a Day 3 prospect who could potentially work his way into a starting role. – Thomas Christopher
