Film Notes and Highlights
Luke McCaffrey started his career as a quarterback before making the switch to wide receiver. As a WR, McCaffrey understands the nuances of the position. He shows good footwork, route running, and some of the best hands in the entire 2024 NFL draft class. McCaffrey knows when to make contact to create a catching window, and shows incredible concentration. He’s not afraid to block, be used as a running back, returner, or as a wildcat quarterback, either.
My only concerns for McCaffrey is his ability to beat aggressive press coverages. If he started his collegiate career as a wide receiver, he would easily be a top-100 selection. I believe McCaffrey will be a very good NFL player. – Thomas Christopher
