Film Notes and Highlights

Marist Liufau’s film looked much improved from 2022-23. He became a better tackler and more efficient as a pass rusher. Liufau has the speed and height to be adequate in man coverage. However, he looks lost at times when in zone, and will leave his responsibility in order to try to make a play. That’s led to both good and bad plays. In the run game, Marist Liufau takes bad pursuit angles and has a hard time shedding blocks. With that said, his tackling form and aggressiveness changed positively from 2022-23. I believe Liufau is a Day 3 prospect who could potentially become a solid Will linebacker at the next level. – Thomas Christopher
