Film Notes and Highlights
Mekhi Wingo is a DL pass specialist with a variety of power and finesse moves. At times he was played out of position at 5t – where his deep alignment to create a power rush gave away his intentions early. Wingo has quick hands and it helps him succeed with some of his power techniques. He notably succeeds more often than not with a pure bull rush as well. Despite the positives in passing situations, Wingo is essentially a non-factor in the running game. There are times Wingo makes a stop, but more often than not he gets completely removed from the play. To me, Wingo is solely a DL pass specialist with a mid-Day 3 grade. – Thomas Christopher
