Film Notes and Highlights
Michael Barrett did well getting the Michigan defense into their assignments. However, that is where the positive notes end. Barrett is weak at the tackle point, nearly never driving a ball carrier back. His bad pursuit and tackle angles either caused complete whiffs, or allowed him to be dragged for additional yardage. He was a non-factor as a pass rusher unless he came unblocked. In coverage he over pursues in zone and gets easily overpowered by tight ends. Barrett is a fringe Day 3 prospect. – Thomas Christopher
