Film Notes and Highlights

Ray Davis really helped his draft stock during his two years at Kentucky. He is good at a lot of things, but I would not say he is elite at anything. Davis a powerful back that always keeps his legs churning to get extra yards. He is a one cut runner so he needs to go to a specific scheme in the NFL.

Davis does not have elite speed but has quickness and explodes through the hole. When he gets the ball in his hands he can make things happen and shows good moves. I noticed very good jump cuts in the hole to avoid defenders and get longer gains. In his 2023 tape I saw big holes created by the line so I am still unsure how good his vision really is. Davis is a day three player but I would not be surprised if one day got some run as a starter. – Brandon Haye
