Film Notes and Highlights

Sione Vaki was a versatile safety (and two-way player) at Utah. He played on the Edge, at linebacker, and as a safety. He has an interesting running form that seems to waste movement, and that reflects on his lack of stop/start ability. In run support, Vaki has issues getting off of blocks from any offensive player. His pad level and technique lead to a plethora of whiffed tackles.

In coverage, Sione Vaki does not have the speed or awareness to play man coverage against faster players. He also struggles in zone due to this lack of speed. As a deep safety, Vaki has issues making the correct reads in coverage. Currently I have an undrafted grade on Vaki. – Thomas Christopher
