Film Notes and Highlights
Tanner McLachlan would probably be best as an H-Back type player. He is good in the short passing game as he can find open spots and move the chains. As a blocker, he is better at pass blocking than run blocking. He is good on initial contact at run blocking but gets pushed back too much. There is not much position versatility as most of the time he lines up on the line. There were times where he would whiff on blocks but does show great effort in not giving up on the play. I do not think he would be a player that is going to get much yards after the catch. He needs to improve on route running and is probably a depth tight end early in his career. – Brandon Haye
