Film Notes and Highlights
Tommy Eichenberg is a traditional inside linebacker. He lacks some speed, but has great pursuit angles and instincts. While he looked slightly weaker at the tackle point in 2023 than 2022, it shouldn’t be a weakness at the NFL level. In coverage, Eichenberg understands his spacing in zone coverage well. However, he lacks speed to keep up with running backs and faster tight ends in man coverage. At the NFL level, he’s best suited as a run-stopping ILB. I think Eichenberg is an early Day 3 prospect who’ll likely have a long career as a high-end backup. – Thomas Christopher
