Film Notes and Highlights
Tyrone Tracy started at Iowa as a wide receiver. However, in that conservative system, he only had over 500 receiving yards once in four years. In 2022, he transferred to Purdue and changed positions to running back. He had a slow transition with only 17 carries the whole season. In 2023, Tracy got more acclimated to the position and finished with over 700 rushing yards. He is not a huge back but he runs very hard and fights through arm tackles.
One of Tyrone Tracy’s best traits is his receiving ability. He tracks the ball well from his WR days and is a huge threat down the field. I would say Tracy is more shifty than fast and is good at making players miss. However, he can be caught from behind on long runs. He does not possess a lot of moves yet, but I consistently saw him using jump cuts very well around the line of scrimmage. He is new to the position but I see traits where he can continue to improve. Tracy needs seasoning but I think he could be used effectively immediately as a change of pace back. – Brandon Haye

Purdue RB Tyrone Tracy Jr is a fun player. He could be a better RB than a few of the bigger names in the class.
