Week 1 of the college football season wrapped up, and it’s time to look at The League Winners’ Power Rankings entering Week 2. As a reminder, these rankings are an overall reflection of the college football atmosphere among those who cover the sport. Normally these rankings will be posted on Sunday. Yet, with multiple big games running into the late weekend, Week 2’s college football Power Rankings are released on September 1.

These Power Rankings will combine the averages from multiple members on our staff, and be updated weekly. Where does your favorite team land? Let’s find out.

Other Notes: The SEC continues to have a stranglehold over these Power Rankings, with 10 teams listed. Behind the SEC is the Big Ten, with six members. Meanwhile, the Big 12 (4) has now tied the ACC (4) for third.

Baylor and Kansas State have been removed from the rankings.
