As we enter Week 8 of the 2025 college football season, it’s time to look at The League Winners’ Power Rankings. As a reminder, these rankings are an overall reflection of the college football atmosphere among those who cover the sport.

Honorable Mentions: Duke, Washington, UNLV, Navy, Illinois, Houston, Arizona State, and Iowa State all received top-25 votes from our staff.

Other Notes: Yet again, the Ohio State Buckeyes remain No. 1 in these rankings for yet another week. The SEC remains atop in this Power Rankings, with 10 teams still listed in our rankings. Entering Week 8, the Big Ten barely remains in second with five teams on this list, with the Big 12 behind them at third (four members). The ACC holds fourth place among the conferences with three teams, and the American Conference is fifth with two selections. Like last week, Notre Dame remains the only independent team in these rankings.

Michigan, Illinois, Iowa State and Arizona State have been removed from the Power Rankings.
