We are set to enter Week 9 of the 2025 college football season which means it’s time to look at The League Winners’ Power Rankings. As a reminder, these rankings are an overall reflection of the college football atmosphere among those who cover the sport.

These Power Rankings will combine the averages from multiple members on our staff, and be updated weekly. Where does your favorite team land? Let’s find out.

Honorable Mentions: Michigan, Houston, Iowa State, James Madison, SMU, and San Diego State all received top-25 votes from our staff.

Other Notes: To no surprise, the Ohio State Buckeyes remain No. 1 in these rankings for yet another week. The SEC remains atop in this Power Rankings, with 10 teams still listed in our rankings. Entering Week 9, there is a three-way tie for second place among the Big Ten, the Big 12, and the ACC. Each conference currently has four teams in these rankings. The American Conference is fifth, with two selections. Notre Dame remains the only independent team in these rankings.

USC, Nebraska, Memphis, and Utah have been removed from the Power Rankings after their losses last week.
