13. Kansas (1-2, 0-0 conference) ((-5 Spots))
Kansas 20-UNLV 23
The Jayhawks now have two straight losses to unranked teams. This week the turnovers hurt Kansas and UNLV was able to capitalize on them.

The UNLV defense was able to get to Daniels for sacks twice and brought pressure to the quarterback to force the bad throws and interceptions. and threw for 141 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. Running back Devin Neal rushed for 120 yards on 23 carries, averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
The defense is what hurt the Jayhawks the most, giving up 181 yards on the ground, including 124 yards to the UNLV quarterback, Matthew Sluka. Because of that performance, they suffered a severe drop in these Big 12 football power rankings.
Kansas starts their Big 12 play at West Virginia on Saturday.

He spread the ball around, finding four difference receivers for those scores. Two of those scores went to junior wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling, who had 174 yards to go along with the touchdowns.
The running game is something that needs work, however. Ollie Gordon was once again stifled at the line. He had just 41 yards on 10 carries, averaging 2.4 yards per carry.
On the other side of the ball, the run defense did a poor job of stopping the big plays. Tulsa rushed for 116 total yards and a touchdown, but the Oklahoma State pass defense was able to hold them scoreless. The Cowboys face a tough matchup at home on Saturday against Utah for a top 15 matchup.

Wilson threw for 239 yards and three touchdowns for his first start in collegiate play. The Utes controlled time of possession, 37 to just 22 minutes for Utah State.
