Fantasy Football 2022: Early MVPs

fantasy football

We are approaching a month of NFL football and it has not disappointed. There have been so many great storylines and amazing moments, and we are only in Week 3. There have been guys who have taken advantage of their opportunities, and there have been some disappointments; and there are some that have truly been the best at what they do. These are the “Fantasy Football MVPs” of the season so far. (6 PT TD, Full PPR)

Lamar Jackson, QB1 (122 Pts)

  • What a season Lamar Jackson is having so far. He was the talk of the offseason after the Ravens couldn’t lock him up to a longterm deal. He is a once in a generation talent, and he has shown why he deserves every single dollar. Before the season, he was being drafted as the QB4 in fantasy football, and he has delivered for anyone that drafted him. He has had back-to-back 40 point weeks and is single handedly winning people weeks. This is something that not a lot of people can do, and he is going for his second MVP. There was one thing that everyone said about Lamar – that he cannot throw the football. He is currently leading the league in TDs thrown. He can burn people with his feet, and he is showing he can burn everyone with his arm, too. Pay this man.

Saquon Barkley, RB1 (68 Pts)

  • Saquon Barkley is back. This is someone that I have been huge on all offseason; and he is paying off for the people that took the risk on him. If you watch him play you can see that he’s completely healthy and electric when he gets the ball. Saquon is the heart and soul of the Giants. This season they will rely on him to deliver every single week. If he stays healthy, he could likely finish as the fantasy football RB1. Daboll loves him and Barkley has shown everything we wanted to see. He gets all the carries, and he gets the receptions. Now you can expect even more with Sterling Shepard out for the rest of the season. Saquon is second in the league with 317 rushing yards and he has played three good defenses. He will always have a safe floor because of the receptions he gets from Daniel Jones. He has such a promising road to being one of the top fantasy backs of this year.

Stefon Diggs, WR1 (85 Pts)

  • Stefon Diggs is the best WR with the best QB in the best offense. That is the three things you need to be the WR1, and he is proving why he should have been taken in the middle of the first round. Diggs is one of the best route runners in the league and he is burning different cornerbacks every week. He has the most receiving TDs and yards out of all the WRs thus far. Diggs is tied for the most targets, and is one catch away from leading in receptions. He has been a fantasy football PPR monster this year and he has one of the safest floors. Diggs has been a league winner throughout the first three weeks, and he will continue to keep this up with Josh Allen.

Mark Andrews, TE1 (65 Pts)

  • The fantasy football TE1 from last year is back, and looking better than last year – which is very hard to do. What Mark Andrews is doing right now is a clear path to being the best TE in the league this season. He is currently the leader among tight ends in TDs, yards, receptions, and targets. This is something that only Travis Kelce has done in recent memory. Andrews is on track to being a dominant TE1 of the year. He is Lamar Jackson’s favorite weapon to throw to, and that offense has been electric since the season started. In a position where there are not a lot of good options, Andrews appears to be the best option.

These are the guys that made you happy after you walked out of your fantasy football drafts. All of these players had some question marks coming into the season; although they are the best at their position so far. The season still has a long way to go, but you should be very happy if you have any of these guys on your team.
