Emojis & Fantasy Football

rookie draft d'onta foreman

Bonjour, Mesdames et Messieurs! Recently I wrote an article about my Buy Low trade targets. This article will explore how emojis can be used for the Keen Observer Posse (#KOP) to improve your chances of trading for my buy-low targets.

Emojis can benefit you in fantasy football and improve your experience. It seems odd, but Emojis & Fantasy Football are a great combination. I use emojis for the long-game approach—similar to Dr. Strange talking to Iron Man in Avengers Infinity War. Oh, you know that’s right.

I don’t understand the reference, but I love the movie so much that I had to find a way to put it in my article. Let’s go ahead and get to how I use Emojis to improve my fantasy football experience.

How I use Emojis

I use the emoji to receive more trade offers and to have better trade discussions. For example, managers sometimes use group chat to let a specific manager know they sent a proposal. A lot of managers find this particular conduct annoying. The typical response is, “send a DM, don’t use the group chat.” I have a different perspective. I use that time to show I value the manager, typically putting a fire emoji to the message if I see the message.

Why?

I want the manager to know how excited I am about their activity within the league. Additionally and most importantly, I want to show how responsive I am in the league. Responsiveness is the key to most trade discussions – or just plain offers. Being unresponsive is one of the worst things you can do as a manager in fantasy football. Most managers that play fantasy have a lot of things going on in their real life, and don’t want to wait for somebody to respond to their request. With a simple emoji, I’m conveying that I value their time and activity. I’m trying my best to send positive vibes.

When I send emojis, managers will constantly be notified that I reacted to their message. So in the future when a specific manager wants to trade, either subconsciously or consciously, they will reach out to me. The reason is to save time and have a positive interaction.

Speaking of positive, I only use positive emojis; so when other managers think of my name or see it, they will have mostly positive thoughts. This makes them feel more inclined to discuss trade possibilities with me. One adage in life is that people will never forget how you made them feel. The benefits of using Emojis are more positive interactions and saving time.

Now, if there isn’t an Emoji option or a manager doesn’t get notified when people use emojis to react to their message, I type up a message in the group chat showing my excitement to the particular manager that an offer was sent.

Listen to your Mother

I tried to use only positive emojis with my messages in the group chat because our mothers taught us, “if we don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all.”

It all goes back to how you make people feel. You want to avoid people rolling their eyes whenever they see your name. You want to do the best you can by providing a smile to someone’s face or a sense of comfort whenever they see your name on their screen. It is challenging, but you have to try. Unlike in Avengers Infinity War, it helps in the long run or makes the end game more pleasant.

Conclusion

In Fantasy Football Dynasty, we try our best to be part of the #KOP and try to “Live in the Future.” One way to improve your KOP skills is to interact with more positivity. We want to eliminate people giving us the “eye rolls.”

Positive emojis are the best ways to do that with little effort. Emojis will improve your experience and get you the assets you want for your roster. Good Luck.
