Fantasy Football 2021: Add and Stash – Week 4

fantasy football - nelson agholor

Week three is in the books and waivers have once again destroyed our souls. I myself am shooting for Chuba Hubbard in the three fantasy football leagues where I have Christian McCaffrey. Each league I have a bottom half waiver claim. Since I won’t be getting my guy, guess what I’ll be doing instead. You guessed it – Adding and Stashing.

Here are your Week 4 add and stash players that you should pick up if your leaguemates decided to cut them off. All roster percentages are via ESPN Fantasy Football.

Quarterback

Matt Ryan ATL (35.8% Rostered) – With a plummeting roster percentage, now is the time to take full advantage of Matt Ryan’s talent. You might be wondering, ‘why should I pick up Matt Ryan if he is facing Washington in week four?’ Great question. WFT has actually been the worst against fantasy quarterbacks so far this year. Giving up an average of 27 points per game to the position, Washington is setting up Matt Ryan for his first big game of the year. Someone else’s trash will become your treasure.

Running Back

Michael Carter NYJ (60.4% Rostered) – With the Jets being the Jets, someone in your league may have already cut bait on Michael Carter. He faces the Titans and Falcons in the next two weeks. They rank 18th and 19th in PPG against the running back position. Carter should see his fair share of work over the next couple of weeks. Stash him before he gets added to my waiver wire list next week.

Wide Receiver

Nelson Agholor NE (40% Rostered) – Remember the viral video of the person who said Nelson Agholor couldn’t catch babies falling from a building if he needed to? Agholor has since proven that man wrong with a nice tenure for the Raiders, and catching the eye of Bill Belichick. After a great Week 1 game, Agholor has been on a downward slide. He faces the Bucs, who are surprisingly the worst team against receivers for fantasy football, giving up 48 PPG to the position. That game is followed by the Texans, who have been poorous. Agholor is a hold due to a potential breakout coming soon.

Tight End

Austin Hooper CLE (52.7% Rostered) – With three lackluster performances in a row, Austin Hooper is in line for some serious work. Facing the Vikings with an O/U of 54, the Browns need to pass the ball to keep up with the Minnesota offense. The Vikings are also 18th in PPG against the tight end position. Look for Hooper to capitalize. To top off this stash player, he faces the Chargers who are 22nd in PPG allowed to tight ends, in Week 5. Someone will probably drop Hooper out of frustration; thus handing you a potential tight end streamer for the next two weeks on a silver platter.
