Fantasy Football 2021: D/ST Streams Week 13

I would like to start this week by addressing the lack of article last week. I was traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday and didn’t bring my computer with me. That being said, let’s look at the fantasy football picks from Week 11.

  • Bengals: 11pts – SUCCESS
  • Dolphins: 4pts – SUCCESS
  • Honorable Mention Browns: 9pts – SUCCESS
  • Panthers: 4pts – SUCCESS
  • Week 11: 4 Successes – 0 Busts
  • Overall: 31 Successes – 19 Busts

Another week of going 4 and 0 on the picks! Week 11 was great, so here’s hoping that success continues into Week 13. Week 12 had some great matchups. To everyone who started the Dolphins, Broncos, or Bengals last week, congratulation on your 15+ fantasy football points.

There were also such exciting games to watch, like the Buccaneers at Colts; and some high-scoring affairs like Raiders at Cowboys. Some matchups were less than exciting like the Bears at Lions game or the Browns at Ravens.

I feel as if Week 12 has been one of the most surprising and upsetting weeks so far this year. Hopefully, Week 13 has fewer surprises and more high scoring D/STs for fantasy football.

Number 3: Minnesota Vikings 35.8%

The Vikings play the Lions this week. Jared Goff looks terrible more often than not, and it seems as if Dan Campbell has fully embraced the tank job. Not to mention that both starting running backs in Dalvin Cook ad D’Andre Swift will be out this week, so both teams should lean into the passing game.

The Minnesota D/ST is averaging 5.0 fantasy points per game this season. 33 sacks, 9 interceptions, and 3 special team touchdowns make this a favorable matchup for the Vikings’ D/ST for fantasy football.

Number 2: Miami Dolphins 60.1%

This week, the Giants will travel to Miami to face off against the highest scoring fantasy football D/ST of last week. A team that has been stepping up in all three parts of the game get to host a team that will be starting Mike Glennon over Daniel Jones this week.

In the one game Glennon played this year, he completed only 16 of his 25 passes for 196 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. The Dolphins have 28 sacks, 10 interceptions, and 3 touchdowns with 11 sacks, 4 interceptions, and 2 touchdowns over the past three weeks. Maybe the swift kick in the backside they needed was the threat of trading Tua Tagovailoa for Deshaun Watson. Ever since the trade deadline, the Dolphins D/ST has been one of the best averaging 16.0 fantasy points per game in Weeks 9-12.

Honorable Mention: Indianapolis Colts (72.6%)

If the Colts are somehow available in your league, pick them up and start them. They travel to Houston this week. The last time these two teams played, the Colts held the Texans to only a field goal. They have only gotten better since.

Number 1: Philadelphia Eagles 63.5%

In real life, a jet could totally beat an eagle. However, this is fantasy football. Last week was rough from start to finish for both the Eagles and Giants, but the Eagles D/ST performed. While they did hold the Giants to 13 points in the game, the only thing the D/ST did was get one sack. No touchdowns, no fumble recoveries, and no interceptions.

They do get to play the Jets this week without one of their best players in Michael Carter, the running back, who is out on Injured Reserved. The second overall pick, rookie Zach Wilson, will be trying to prove that he was worth that price tag. The Eagles will be playing hard, trying to make a push towards the playoffs. The Eagles have multiple sacks in 33% of their games and multiple interceptions in 16.7% of their games. Look for them to increase these numbers.

Good luck this week and may the fantasy football streams flow your way!
