The best week of the football season is here; Thanksgiving week. So who is thankful for Jonathan Taylor or Austin Ekeler’s insane fantasy football performances from Week 11? It looks like the Colts coaches knew passing against the Bills was futile, but rushing the ball would kill two birds with one stone; being effective on offense and limiting the Bills’ offensive snaps.
Week 12 Explosive Matchup Chart
Rushing Tidbits
- The Cleveland Browns have the best matchup regards to rushing; and the Ravens defense has been leaking like a sieve. Nick Chubb should have another great day. Set him in your Lineup Showdown leagues and fantasy football rosters.
- Indianapolis Colts again face a rush funnel defense in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jonathan Taylor has the potential for a repeat performance. However, Tampa’s DL is much better than the Bills.
- The Detriot Lions have a plus rushing matchup as well. D’Andre Swift’s usage should yield promising results. He is a great contrarian play in fantasy football DFS and Lineup Showdown leagues.
- The Minnesota Vikings and Dalvin Cook again should be in play for a top ten finish with a matchup against the porous San Francisco run defense.
Passing Tidbits
- Baltimore’s defense will have their hands full this week. If they bite on the play action, then Cleveland should be able to land big shots downfield; but who will be the beneficiary of these receptions is hard to predict.
- I have a feeling Baltimore will sling the ball often during the second half, reminiscent of the Kansas City and Indianapolis games. Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews could be great plays this week.
- Las Vegas is still the number one in explosive passing plays. However, they are lacking the deep threat presence of Henry Ruggs. So far, DeSean Jackson has not been the replacement they’ve hoped for. The Cowboys’ defense is opportunistic and can give up plays, but I do not trust the Raiders at this point.
- Mac Jones should continue to succeed against the Tennessee Titans. New England’s OL is capable of limiting the Titans front seven from applying pressure. However, Mike Vrabel’s defense may throw the kitchen sink in coverage disguise against the rookie.
- Pass-catchers I am primarily targeting this week are Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman, Darnell Mooney, Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and Ja’marr Chase. These players have solid target share and good matchups.
- Pass-catchers I am avoiding are Jerry Jeudy, Cortland Sutton, Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, any NOS WRs, any Tennessee Titans WRs.
