Fantasy Football 2021: IDP Waiver Pickups – Week 14

fantasy football

Week 14! Yes, Week 14 is here! This is the last week of the fantasy football regular season. It always amazes me how fast the NFL season comes and goes each year. Literally, it’s like a blink of an eye. Nevertheless, there are moves to be made, bye-weeks to be clinched, and playoff spots to secured. So let’s take a look at some key IDP contributors to add from the waiver wire that can help you not only this week but into the playoffs as well!

Azeez Al-Shaair SF – Al-Shaair is back in the starting fold, after both Dre Greenlaw and Fred Warner were out due to injuries. Al-Shaair played in 97 percent of the snaps last week and had an absolute monster game! He had 15 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss and 1 forced fumble. Al-Shaair has had a great season thus far and the 49ers have recognized this. They are in talks with the stud linebacker for a contract extension. Add Al-Shaair in all fantasy football formats, he has earned his playing time plus more.

Jayron Kearse DAL – I haven’t added many DBs to my weekly fantasy football IDP waiver lists. However, Jayron Kearse is worthy of this mention right now. He has been on fire lately. In the last five weeks he tallied 30 total tackles. He also has 2 ints and 6 passes deflected! Kearse is also on the field nearly 100 percent of the time, which means he is getting tons of volume coming his way. Kearse has been balling and needs to be added in all IDP formats! Keep him on your fantasy football playoff roster.

Jayon Brown TEN – The Titans were on a bye last week so Jayon Brown fell off the radar a little bit. However, in his four games before the bye week, Brown was a steady IDP contributor. He had a combined 38 total tackles and 1 pass deflected. The Titans are playing the Jaguars in Week 14, who will rely heavily on the run game and short passes. If you are looking for a steady contributor to add to your IDP lineup, Brown is your guy. Keep him on your fantasy football playoff roster.

Watch List

Patrick Queen BAL – I was very high on Patrick Queen coming into this season. He started off the season with a bang, but then fell down to the dog house in the middle of the season. In the last three games, Queen has been playing in over 60 percent of the snaps, seemingly playing himself out of the dog house he found himself in earlier this year. Queen has tallied 21 total tackles, 3 tackles for a loss and 1 fumble recovery the last three weeks. With a huge divisional game against the Cleveland Browns this week, look for Queen to make an impact early; especially against the run.
