Fantasy Football 2021: Late Waiver IDP Pickups – Week 7

We have entered Byemageddon! With six teams on bye and an ever-growing injury list there is very little wiggle room on most fantasy football rosters. Fear not, as all is not lost and we have some key IDP players that can contribute immediately.

Week 7 Pickups

David Long Jr. – TEN: Not to be confused with the other David Long Jr., cornerback from the Rams. The Titans’ David Long is making an impact. Long has tallied up 26 total tackles the last two weeks. He is also playing 100 percent of the snaps. Long is a must add at this point and can be valuable fantasy football asset going forward.

Nick Bolton – KC: With a nerve injury to starting linebacker Anthony Hitchens, the rookie Bolton now has the chance to make a name for himself. The Chiefs will be rotating who calls in the play from the sidelines (green dot on helmet). Bolton has posted 15 total tackles the last two games, along with three tackles for a loss. He is a solid pickup going forward.

Josh Bynes – BAL: Patrick Queen has played himself out of the starting role in Baltimore. Queen’s poor play has opened the door for Bynes. Bynes played in 77 percent of the snaps last week compared to just 34 percent for Queen. As of now, it looks like Bynes has been the given the chance to step up and show his ability. Bynes is a nice weekly streamer and possible long-term stash if he can keep producing.

Reggie Ragland – NYG: Ragland has quietly become a solid contributor as of late. He has 22 total tackles the last three games along, with two pass deflections and a forced fumble. With the Giants offense playing poorly, the defense has been on the field quite a bit lately. This give players like Ragland a lot of playing time and volume. Ragland is steady weekly streamer.

Watchlist

Colts Safety Position

Keep an eye for the starting safety for the Colts this weekend. With Julian Blackmon out for the season with an achilles injury, the Colts will need someone to step up and take over that role.

C.J. Mosley – NYJ

As of the time of this writing, C.J. Mosley is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Patriots. Usually a doubtful designation means the player will most likely not play. See if this injury lingers. If it doesn’t Mosley can be a great add in your fantasy football leagues.
