This week’s article will probably be a bit shorter than most. Between a crazy week at my job, an illness, family obligations, wedding planning, and my fiancé in the middle of test season in grad school, I’ve been busy! It wasn’t until Friday morning that I even remembered it! Welcome to D/ST Streams Week 3. That being said, I’ll still try to give you my best picks for this week. Let’s take a look at last week’s first.
Well, we couldn’t stay perfect forever! Although last week was only a 33% hit rate, we’re still at 75% on the season. Not too shabby, but something I hope to keep up! With that, let’s look at this week’s picks. Onto our D/ST streams for Week 3.
The Jaguars get to play at home against a Texans team that has been very generous to opposing D/STs. So far, their opponent’s D/STs have scored 19 total points in fantasy (Ravens 12 and Colts 7). Add to that a good Jaguars D/ST that are averaging 10 fantasy points per game and you get a great matchup! So far, the Jags have allowed 17 or fewer points in each game and have an average of 1 interception, 2 fumble recoveries, and 2.5 sacks per game. In ESPN’s standard setting, that alone would be 8.5 fantasy points. But that’s against two offenses that have been pretty good with the Colts and Chiefs. The Jaguars are in a more favorable situation!
The Seahawks are a pick that I’m not positive will hit this week. If I had to bet, they’re a hit and more likely to be in double-digit fantasy points than busting. The reason for this is one Mr. Andy Dalton. With Bryce Young out this week, Dalton will be getting the start. The Seahawks are coming off of a good week against the Lions in Week 2. Time to roll the dice on the Seahawks!
The Ravens get the Colts and Gardner Minshew starting with Anthony Richardson out with a concussion. Adding to that, the Colts center Ryan Kelly has also been dealing with a concussion and may miss this matchup. A shaky offensive line, no Richardson, and one of the worst RB rooms in the league are just three reasons to roll the Ravens D/ST this week.
We’re coming off of a rough week, but looking to bounce back! The Jags, Seahawks, and Ravens are three D/STs that could have big weeks! Mostly off of the back of backup quarterbacks. Good luck, and as always, may the streams flow your way!
