Fantasy Football 2023: Five Sleepers That Could Win Your League

In fantasy football, many managers focus on the first few rounds – or the big names and who you should draft. It is important to make sure you don’t draft a bust early, but what can really push you over the top is picking the top fantasy sleepers that will dramatically outperform their ADP. Players like Odell Beckham Jr. in his rookie year or even rookie-year James Robinson can give you an incredible advantage over your opponents. I am going to give you the top redraft sleepers outside the top 100 on Fantasy Pros ADP for 1QB PPR leagues that could hit and turn you into a League Winner.

Zay Flowers, WR Baltimore Ravens

Zay Flowers had over 3,000 total receiving yards at Boston College. His best season came in 2022, when he exploded for 1,077 yards and 12 touchdowns. I won’t lie, I originally did not love the situation in Baltimore when he was drafted. But so far, it looks like the passing game will be more explosive with new offensive coordinator Todd Monken.

Rashod Bateman always seems injured; and in training camp, Flowers looks uncoverable with his speed and route-running ability. Mark Andrews is going to be target number one, but he may not be as dominant as he has in the past. Flowers is going just outside the top 100, but as WR44 he could finish well within the top 30, and maybe even top 24.

Luke Musgrave, TE Green Bay Packers

Reports out of Green Bay are that Luke Musgrave has a good connection with Jordan Love; and is a matchup nightmare with his size and speed. He only has five catches for 36 yards in limited preseason action on eight targets, but 26 of his 38 receiving yards are after the catch.

Robert Tonyan had 67 targets last year, with a young quarterback, we could see Musgrave eclipse that number. If you decide to wait on tight end, Musgrave could be a top 12 player at the position. Currently, he’s being selected as TE20. He’s a nice addition to the redraft sleepers list at a notoriously hard-to-predict position for fantasy football.

 

Nathaniel Dell, WR Houston Texans

Nathanial “Tank” Dell was a problem for defenses in college. He racked up over 3,100 yards and scored 32 touchdowns in three seasons at Houston. And when the Houston Texans drafted C.J. Stroud, the second overall pick wanted his new team to draft Dell because of their chemistry at the combine. That decision looks to be paying off, because Dell has been impressive and his small stature is not hindering his production.

He has only played in one game so far this preseason, but Dell had five catches for 65 yards and a touchdown. His quickness allows him to beat press coverage and his speed makes him an instant big play threat. Dell should be the second target after Nico Collins and is going as WR71. I think he crushes that ADP in his rookie year.

 

Elijah Moore, WR Cleveland Browns

I have loved Elijah Moore ever since he was coming into the draft. I thought he would do great things with the New York Jets, but they just never seemed to utilize him correctly. The Jets tried to force him to play outside when he was best suited for the slot.

Moore only has three catches this preseason, but in camp, he looks as explosive as he did in college. As a result, he could turn out to be the second receiver behind Amari Cooper. An improved Deshaun Watson this year and a more aggressive Browns passing attack could make Moore a top 36 receiver. At 12 spots higher than his current ADP, he certainly qualifies for this list of redraft sleepers.

 

Sean Tucker, RB Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I loved Sean Tucker in college at Syracuse. But everyone was surprised he went undrafted, even with his medical concerns. Tucker has since been cleared, however, and looks to have the RB2 job in Tampa.

Rachaad White was not very efficient last year. If he continues with that trend, Tucker may get more touches. This offense will need all the help it can get with what looks like inconsistent quarterback play at best.

Tucker is going as RB75 and pick 286, so you could probably get him in the last round of your draft. In a featured role in the second preseason game, Tucker averaged 5.3 yards per carry and added three receptions. If he ever wins the starting job, he could have a James Robinson-like rookie season.
