Here we are, the final push before the fantasy football playoffs begin. And The League Winners are here to help you with some difficult start and sit decisions!
Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 13 – Start
Josh Downs, WR – Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans (Sheldon Hand)
Josh Downs saw 13 targets in Week 12 against the Buccaneers, including three in the red zone. The production wasn’t fantastic, but it is hard to ignore that type of target share. This week the Colts take on the Titans who are beatable through the air. Lock Downs into your lineup this week and expect a safe floor, but a potential top 12 finish if he can find the endzone.
Jaylen Warren, RB – Pittsburgh Steelers vs Arizona Cardinals (Harry Prskalo)
Jaylen Warren has the potential to put up some huge numbers this week. The Arizona Cardinals give up the 2nd most rushing yards, 3rd most rushing TDs, and the 7th most yards per carry. When you have big play ability like Warren does, you start him against a defense like that.
Rachaad White, RB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Carolina Panthers (Brandon Haye)
Rachaad White had a down game in receiving last week but made up for it with his most rushing yards on the year. He gets another good matchup this week against the Carolina Panthers who give up the third most fantasy points to running backs.
Devin Singletary, RB – Houston Texans at Carolina Panthers (Erika Brown)
Last week was a strange game for Devin Singletary. He only had six total carries, and Dameon Pierce had only five, as quarterback CJ Stroud was airing it out in the passing game. But the two previous games Singletary logged 22 and 30 carries, and accrued 262 yards and 2 touchdowns. Pierce is back from injury, but Singletary may have supplanted him. With Denver’s run defense not improving, he’s a great start this week.
Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 13 – Sit
Cooper Kupp, WR – Los Angeles Rams vs Cleveland Browns (Sheldon Hand)
Cooper Kupp hasn’t produced double digit fantasy points since Week 6. This is not the matchup to bank on a turnaround. The Rams take on the Browns who have shut the door on fantasy WRs. There are a lot of pivot options this week: Rashee Rice, Diontae Johnson, Josh Downs, and Jayden Reed could all be started over him this week. It is fine to bench Kupp until he shows us something.
Drake London, WR – Atlanta Falcons at New York Jets (Harry Prskalo)
Drake London has a very good chance to repeat something close to his Week 1 donut this week. When you’re going against a defense that allows the 5th fewest passing yards and your QB is Desmond Ridder (while also facing Sauce Gardner), it may be a good idea to keep him on the bench this week.
Jordan Love, QB – Green Bay Packers vs Kansas City Chiefs (Brandon Haye)
Chris Godwin, WR – Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Carolina Panthers (Erika Brown)
I was all in on Chris Godwin this year, hoping for him to have a bounce-back season, but it just hasn’t happened. This week Tampa faces a defense that ranks near the top at stopping wide receivers, and a resurging receiver on the opposite side of him in Mike Evans. Godwin is only averaging just 7.4 targets per game and catching only 4.8 of those passes. He has a single touchdown on the year, and don’t expect it to come this week.
