As we prepare for Week 14 of the 2023 NFL Season, we enter our first critical period of the fantasy football season. Many fantasy managers will face some serious decisions this week, so let’s get right into Fantasy Football 2023: Week 14 Waiver Wire Targets.
* I will be using Yahoo Fantasy Rostership & for this Week 14 Waiver Wire article. I will also attempt to give several options at each position, for varying league sizes. The dollar value next to the player’s name is the desired amount of FAAB to bid on them with a $100 budget.
Quarterbacks
Joe Flacco, Cleveland Browns
Week 14 Opponent: Jacksonville Jaguars, Rostership: 5%
The injury bug seems to have pulled a full Lazarus on the career of Joe Flacco. His first start in nearly two years came against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 13. The Browns lost, but Flacco would throw 44 times for 254 yards and 2 touchdowns.
That may not be a career performance for Flacco, but considering the performances of the other backup quarterbacks this week, Flacco should be considered a savior for desperate Superflex managers.

Running Backs
Tyjase Spears, Tennessee Titans
Week 14 Opponent: Miami Dolphins, Rostership: 24%
All season long, fantasy analysts have said to stash Derrick Henry as his late-season schedule could make him a league winner. Week 13 saw Henry go down with a concussion which could see rookie Tyjae Spears see a sudden windfall.
Spears took his first opportunity as the Titan’s lead back to set career highs in rushing yards and receptions. If Henry is forced to miss any significant length of time, Spears is a winning lottery ticket.

Wide Receivers
Noah Brown, Houston Texans
Week 14 Opponent: New York Jets, Rostership: 51%
Another position and another injury replacement. Noah Brown has seen some inconsistent production in his role as the Texan’s WR3, but Week 13 saw the Texans lose star rookie receiver, Tank Dell lost for the season to a broken fibula.
Brown was rarely used in the Week 13 matchup but in the past has found a significant role in the offensive gameplan. Look for Brown to become fantasy-relevant for the fantasy football stretch run.

Week 14 Opponent: Miami Dolphins, Rostership: 32%
Okonkwo has been far from a stud at tight end but he is seeing a consistent number of targets on the season, rarely dipping below five targets.
He doesn’t have true matchup-winning potential at this time, but he is a solid streamer who could see a late-season breakout should he see his role increase like he did late last season.
