The League Winners Invade SFB12 – Fantasy Football 2022

fantasy football dynasty mock nfl draft

With Scott Fish Bowl 12 drafts all completed I thought I would take a chance to look back to see how each of The League Winners‘ approached their respective fantasy football drafts. We will run all 14 teams entered by our team to breakdown some of their strengths and weaknesses.

I would like to add that the custom graphics for each team can be found at Spike Week and the team rankings and data was compiled by the team over at RateMyLeague, so thank you to both of them for their hard work in streamlining all of the fantasy football SFB12 data. We will go in descending order and start with the highest ranked team drafted of the 14.

1 – @TheHQNerd (Drafted 1.02, Gilligan’s Island Division, Conference #14)

fantasy football

TheHQNerd Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 1789, Running Backs 925, Wide Receivers 349, Tight Ends 2401, Kickers NA.

Their conference rank is 7/96 and their overall rank is 177 which puts them in the Top 5% of teams with a Team Score of 8.02.

The strength of their fantasy football team is an elite WR corps paired with a high end RB group. They can expect to be middle of the pack at QB and will have to hope one of their TE sleepers hit or they will need to find a serviceable starter on the waiver wire. They chose not to draft a kicker and will likely be dropping a bench player before Week 1 to stream one if needed.

2 – @FFReez (Drafted 1.10, Los Angeles Forum, Live Draft Conference)

FFReez Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 2432, Running Backs 765, Wide Receivers 1863, Tight Ends 349, Kickers 2976.

Their conference rank is 21/96 and their overall rank is 252 with a team score of 7.90.

Here we see a League Winners fantasy football roster anchored by a stacked RB group paired with the likely TE1. They will need to hope one of their backup QB’s outproduces their fantasy football ADP and cannot afford any injuries to a thin WR depth chart, however this lack of WR depth can be supplemented with a high end kicker on the roster.

3 – @vandygrad92 (Drafted 1.06, Concord NH, Conference #21)

fantasy football

Vandygrad92 Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 2132, Running Backs 387, Wide Receivers 1978, Tight Ends 777, Kickers NA.

Their conference rank is 11/96 and their overall rank is 296 with a team score of 7.86.

Again, we see a League Winners roster that decided to load up on RB talenl. This seems to be a developing trend and once again we see a team that was able to grab an elite TE.

This fantasy football roster is very similar to the above roster in the sense that they too will need to hope for a QB2 that outperforms their draft spot. This WR corps seems much deeper than the previous roster but will largely rely on unproven rookies hitting to stand a fighting chance. There’s tons of upside here but not much safe floor. Another team that decided to forego a kicker in hopes of hitting a late round lottery ticket during the pre season.

4 – @GenialGiantFFB (Drafted 1.04, Miami FL, Conference #1)

GenialGiantFFB Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 1615, Running Backs 2144, Wide Receivers 1184, Tight Ends 407, Kickers 748.

Their conference rank is 20/96 and their overall rank is 536 with a team score of 7.53.

Well this is a first, we have a rare team that has opted to go Hero RB instead of Robust RB. This fantasy football team instead boasts a solid trio of QB’s paired with some quality WR’s and a surprisingly potent duo of TE’s. The question here will be whether Joe Mixon and a RB room of misfits can keep him in the hunt come showdown weeks. They also opted two draft two kickers late to cash in on some flex depth and value.

5 – @JMoeller05 (Drafted 1.03, Seattle, Live Conference)

fantasy football

JMoeller05 Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 1203, Running Backs 503, Wide Receivers 2813, Tight Ends 694, Kickers 442.

Their conference rank is 54/96 and their overall rank is 564 with a team score of 7.50.

This feels familiar, another stacked RB room paired with an elite TE. Once again the robust RB route is paired with some young WR’s that were drafted at a bargain in hopes of getting a solid return on investment. Here we also see the likely QB1 on the roster paired with a more than serviceable QB2 which should help to make up for any shortcomings at WR, pair this with a top end kicker that can be flexed in a jam and we have a very solid fantasy football roster here.

6 – @evan_dietz (Drafted 1.08, Augusta GA, Conference #16)

Evan_dietz Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 2449, Running Backs 258, Wide Receivers 2574, Tight Ends 596, Kickers 152.

Their conference rank is 20/96 and their overall rank is 600 with a team score of 7.48.

Shocking, a roster that went Robust RB and Elite TE. The downside here seems to be that they went so heavy at RB that they are incredible thin at both WR and QB; relying mostly on injured or unproven WR’s. In a pinch they can flex the PK1 but this will likely not be enough to carry a paper thin WR corps.

7 – @PeakFF9 (Drafted 1.10, The Capitol, Conference #15)

fantasy football

PeakFF9 Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 1790, Running Backs 1185, Wide Receivers 2891, Tight Ends 159, Kickers 1910.

Their conference rank is 35/96 and their overall rank is 951 with a team score of 7.17.

This roster is what is referred to as Bully TE. He pairs two elite TE’s with two very solid options at QB. Given this combination it is surprising to find a pretty deep RB group here as well. Where the roster is lacking is obviously at WR. A WR1 of Hollywood Brown combined with some rookies in a scary notion, but you can’t be stacked at every position. If any of these WR’s pans out this will be a fantasy football roster to reckon with.

8 – @DynastyJacobian (Drafted 1.10, Boston MA, Conference #2)

DynastyJacobian Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 2898, Running Backs 2268, Wide Receivers 663, Tight Ends 58, Kickers 798.

Their conference rank is 34/96 and their overall rank is 1133 with a team score of 7.01.

This roster build features a great combination of Bully TE and stud WR’s. Combine that with some good young QB’s and it could make for a hugely explosive team. With only three RB’s on the roster they will likely have to find a diamond on the waiver wire; but if their rookie WR’s come through it could be a roster that starts the bare minimum RB’s all season and is carried by the other positions. He also drafted three kickers late to make up for some of those position deficiencies in the flex spot and should make for a creative lineup all season.

9 – @Hype_Phinest (Drafted 1.01, Concord NH, Conference #21)

fantasy football

Hype_Phinest Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 1910, Running Backs 1599, Wide Receivers 515, Tight Ends 1945, Kickers 2386.

Their conference rank is 55/96 and their overall rank is 1650 with a team score of 6.62.

This is the first team we’ve analyzed that didn’t seem to load up at one set position. Instead, they’ve opted to put together a balanced roster. Elite QB1 with a playable QB2. Elite WR corps and some solid potential at RB. They opted to punt TE; relying on Zach Ertz and some low end options. But have no glaring hole anywhere on this roster. If they are able to scoop up this years Robert Tonyan off the waiver wire they could be playing deep into this tournament.

10 – @FFMadScientist (Drafted 1.10, Edinburgh Scotland, Conference #25)

FFMadScientist Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 1083, Running Backs 2291, Wide Receivers 2492, Tight Ends 558, Kickers 2758.

Their conference rank is 57/96 and their overall rank is 1760 with a team score of 6.52.

This fantasy football team belongs to yours truly. Despite my best intentions the rankings feel I punted both WR and RB, I know… bold strategy. This is where rankings are not a definitive formula. I loaded up early and made sure I left round 3 with an elite TE and two high end QB’s who are both accurate.

From there I drafted players that I am higher on than consensus and let the board come to me; hence I love my team and the player rater hates it. I guess we will see if I know what I’m talking about or not. If I’m as smart as I hope I am this team could go a long way. If I’m secretly a dunce then this team could be a bottom feeder. The only thing I know for sure is that this is a team full of “My Guys” and I’m gonna sink or swim with the guys I hitched my wagon to.

11 – @ThePruPatel (Drafted 1.08, King’s Landing, Conference #11)

fantasy football

ThePruPatel Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 2107, Running Backs 148, Wide Receivers 2566, Tight Ends 2382, Kickers 1522.

Their conference rank is 67/96 and their overall rank is 2013 with a team score of 6.29.

This is the most unique roster build of the 14 on the list. These RB’s are flat out sexy; the TE room is not. The QB duo is a combo of a solid vet and a high upside youngster – we will see if it pays off. The WR corps is young and full of potential. The most interesting part is that he opted to load up on the value of kicker late instead of drafting late round WR’s. We will see if this calculations pays off in the end.

12 – @Hgree56 (Drafted 1.12, Lisbon Portugal, Conference #32)

Hgree56 Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 829, Running Backs 1508, Wide Receivers 1742, Tight Ends 2784, Kickers 2517.

Their conference rank is 68/96 and their overall rank is 2101 with a team score of 6.20.

This is likely the best QB duo out of the 14 rosters, just an elite duo. This fantasy football team is heavily lacking at TE and will have to hope the hype train for Hurst or Irv is legit. The WR Corps and RB room are both solid, but not overwhelming. They should do well enough but lack any real high end punch. This team will go as far as Dak and Hurts can take them.

13 – @ThomasCP_NFL (Drafted 1.08, Buffalo NY, Conference #22)

fantasy football

ThomasCP518 Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 2987, Running Backs 83, Wide Receivers 2388, Tight Ends 718, Kickers 2865.

Their conference rank is 70/96 and their overall rank is 2242 with a team score of 6.04.

It’s a bold strategy the boss man takes here punting QB in a superflex league, but he somehow managed to wait until round 7 and still come away with two starting QB’s. The benefit to punting QB is that he is loaded at RB – truly a disgusting bounty of backs. The WR corps didn’t get great reviews but has some serious potential and could be heavily under rated. He also managed to snag an elite TE and pretty solid TE2 in Njoku as well as a solid PK. This fantasy football team was rated surprisingly low given the fact that it is pretty solid if the geriatric duo at QB can pull through.

14 – @DynastyHoser (Drafted 1.07, Vancouver Canada, Conference #5)

DynastyHoser Breakdown (All ranks are out of approx 3300 teams)

Quarterbacks 769, Running Backs 1980, Wide Receivers 1411, Tight Ends 2337, Kickers NA.

Their conference rank is 73/96 and their overall rank is 2275 with a team score of 6.01.

Our final fantasy football team on this list is one that opted to go Bully QB, stacking two veterans in the first two rounds. He then paired this with a nice duo of RB’s and a quartet of high upside WR’s; and topped off the middle rounds with my favorite TE sleeper. I’m not sure how this team is ranked so low other than the fact that it’s late round depth is not great. Once you get past round 12 there is little to see aside from a few lottery tickets. This team is a mix of elite starters and stinky depth players. It will go as far as the starters will take it.

That concludes the team by team breakdown of all the leaguewinners.com roster in SFB12, I intend for this to be a weekly update column detailing how each team faired in their weekly matchup and where they sit in the standings so please check back after Week 1 of the regular season for my first weekly recap.
