Fantasy Football 2023: Roster Cloggers After Week 6

Week 6 is now in the books, and we have another batch of fantasy football Roster Cloggers for you. Last week, I mentioned Tutu Atwell, Odell Beckham Jr, and Daniel Jones as my roster cloggers after Week 5. Atwell recorded only one catch for 30 yards, OBJ had two for 34 yards, and Jones was out with a neck injury. Overall, I was correct on all accounts. That doesn’t happen too often, but ill take it. With that being said, enough reminiscing Let’s get into our Roster Cloggers after Week 6!

As we get into this week’s Cloggers, remember each of this week’s players is rostered in at least 35% of leagues on either ESPN or Sleeper’s fantasy football platforms. Let’s dive in!

Jahan Dotson, WR – Washington Commanders

I’ve been holding out hope for Jahan Dotson all season long. He flashed brilliance last season and seemed primed for a breakout year. However, after failing to haul in his lone target in Week 6, it’s more evident now than ever that his breakout isn’t coming. His best performance of the season came in Week 1 when he posted five catches for 40 yards. He has yet to top either of those numbers since then. Dotson is on over 60% of ESPN rosters, which is far too many given his lack of production this season. It’s safe to look at other upside options on the waiver wire.

Skyy Moore, WR —Kansas City Chiefs

This selection is easy for me, as I’ve been out on Skyy Moore since being drafted in 2022. I’ll admit he did have a few promising outings in Week 2 and Week 3. He finished with 70 and 42 yards in those games, respectively. However, Moore has been unable to capitalize on that momentum. He has failed to garner a 60% snap share or more than two catches since Week 4. Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes spread the ball around far too much for anyone besides the primary wide receiver in Kansas City to be worth a roster spot. Rostered 45% of ESPN leagues, Moore should be an immediate drop candidate this week.

Dalvin Cook, RB – New York Jets

Dalvin Cook landed on my watchlist last week and did nothing to help his case this week. It was a close game against the Eagles, but Breece Hall completely dominated the New York backfield. I don’t imagine the Jets blowing out many teams, so touches for Cook will be scarce for the remainder of the year. Barring any injuries to Hall, you’ll likely find better value on the waiver wire.

Watchlist: David Njoku, TE – Cleveland Browns

I was a big fan of David Njoku heading into the season. I projected him as a red zone threat and a security blanket for Deshaun Watson, That hasn’t been the case this season. Watson has had trouble staying healthy, and Njoku’s production has suffered because of it. His lone game of usable fantasy production came in Week 4 when he hauled seven catches for 46 yards. If Njoku cannot return to form next week, he’ll no longer be worth a permanent fantasy roster spot.
