Fantasy Football: Start or Sit – Week 15

fantasy football start sit

For most fantasy football leagues, Week 15 marks the start of the fantasy playoffs. That means your start and sit decisions are more important than ever. To keep you covered week in and week out, The League Winners are here to help you with any start or sit questions you have. Spending the week agonizing over who to start in your flex? Put your mind to rest and rely on us to do the dirty work for you. If you missed last week’s picks, you can see them here.

Start

Alvin Kamara, RB – New Orleans Saints (Thomas Christopher)

To many, Kamara has been a disappointing fantasy football player. A lot of that has to do with new head coach Dennis Allen and his bizarre usage of his players. This week however, the cards should align in favor of a big game for AK41. Mark Ingram is done for the season with an injury, and Kamara gets a juicy matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Desmond Ridder makes his first start of the season for the Falcons, which means this game could become a blowout quickly. Either way, Kamara should put up big numbers in this one.

Isiah Pacheco, RB – Kansas City Chiefs (Aaron St. Denis)

Chigoziem Okonkwo, TE – Tennessee Titans (Jeremy Shulman)

Chig has been a force at TE for the Tennessee Titans over the past two weeks; even as starting TE Austin Hooper continues to see the field for 50% of the team’s snaps. Mostly, it’s the absence of other elements of the passing game working – and notably the absence of Treylon Burks – that has forced Okonkwo into extra opportunity. But all he’s done is produce. Finishing as the PPR TE8 and TE3 in back-to-back weeks, I like Chig to once again be a top TE option this week against a suspect Chargers D that is likely to be without star safety Derwin James. I’m more-than-comfortable relying on Okonkwo in my TE slot in the fantasy playoffs this week.

Michael Pittman, WR – Indianapolis Colts (Sheldon Hand)

The Colts play the Vikings, who are giving up the second most points to the WR position. They have allowed a top 10 performance in back-to-back games. Even Nelson Aghlor was the WR15 (15.5 points) in Week 12. Pittman is averaging 9.7 targets and should find open space against a secondary giving up the most yards to WRs. Look for Pittman to exploit this matchup and smash his WR25 ranking on FantasyPros. He should have a safe floor without a TD, but look out if he can find the end zone!

Sit

DJ Moore, WR – Carolina Panthers (Thomas Christopher)

I feel like DJ Moore has been a staple for me on this list so far this season. And so far, I haven’t been too far off in my predictions. After injury himself in the game last week, Moore is a very shaky option in Week 15. While he gets a great matchup against the Steelers, his health and QB situation leave a lot to be desired. In what’s usually a make-or-break week for fantasy football players, I’m keeping DJM on my bench.

Zonovan Knight, RB – New York Jets (Aaron St. Denis)

Marquise Brown, WR – Arizona Cardinals (Jeremy Shulman)

Nick Chubb, RB – Cleveland Browns (Sheldon Hand)
