NFL Betting: Week 6 Recap
Last week Sal ended up with a record of 1-7, while Mikey finished with a solid .500 performance on his picks. Sal went with the Over on every pick last week, and that ended up hurting him tremendously. The only pick Sal got correct was Brandin Cooks going over 69.5 receiving yards. Mikey, on the other hand, did pretty well. He ended up with a 4-4 record on the week. Sal will look to close the gap between him and Mikey this week.
- Mikey – 13-11
- Sal – 8-16
NFL Betting: Week 7 Over/Under 1PM Games
Chiefs at Titans
Patrick Mahomes – 323.5 Pass Yards
Mikey – Over
Mahomes has already gone over this mark three times this season. He’s looked a bit off his game recently, but expect a bounce-back performance in a game the Chiefs really need to win.
Sal – Over
The Titans secondary has been one of the worst in the NFL. They’re giving up an average of 276.5 passing yards per game to opposing QBs. Mahomes is one of the best QBs in the NFL, and I expect him and the Chiefs to capitalize on the Titans poor secondary.
Derrick Henry – 125.5 Rush Yards
Mikey – Over
Derrick Henry has rushed for 130+ yards in each of his last three games, and four times this season. Against a team giving up over 5 yards per carry, give me the over.
Sal – Under
The Titans can only rely on Henry for so long. I expect a high scoring game, where the Chiefs force the Tennessee Titans to throw the ball.
Falcons at Dolphins
Calvin Ridley – 74.5 Rec Yards
Mikey – Over
As Sal mentions below, Miami’s defense against the pass has been abysmal. In Ridley’s first game back since missing a game due to a personal matter, they should look to feed him the ball.
Sal – Over
Miami’s pass defense has played terribly this season. They’ve allowed the fourth most passing yards in the NFL. Against a team like the Falcons that can’t run the ball effectively, I expect Matt Ryan to throw the ball a ton.
Mike Gesicki – 42.5 Rec Yards
Mikey – Over
Atlanta, statistically, is a middle of the pack team against tight ends this season. However, Gesicki might be the best tight end they will face so far. They haven’t faced a solid tight end since Week 1, when they went up against Rob Gronkowski and the Bucs. Gesicki should eat.
Sal – Over
Gesicki is on a tear in the first half of this season. Atlanta is the perfect matchup for Gesicki to keep his hot streak intact. He should have a very busy game this Sunday.
NFL Betting: Over/Under – Sunday 4PM Games
Eagles at Raiders
Jalen Hurts – 294.5 Pass Yards
Mikey – Under
Hurts has had an up and down season so far in terms of his passing performances. Playing at the Raiders is no easy task, and they should give him and the Eagles some trouble. He will fall short of the mark this week.
Sal – Under
The Las Vegas Raiders have had a surprisingly solid defense this season. They’re currently just outside the top-10 against the pass. I expect Hurts to have some trouble, and fall short.
Josh Jacobs – 60.5 Rush Yards
Mikey – Under
Jacobs hasn’t looked great this season, and I believe this game will be decided through the air. Kenyan Drake will get more work than many would probably like him to.
Sal – Over
Philadelphia has struggled against opposing RBs this season. They’ve given up over 120 yards per game to RBs. Jacobs hasn’t looked spectacular this season, but he has a chance to flip the script against a struggling Eagles team.
Lions at Rams
D’Andre Swift – 43.5 Rec yards
Mikey – Over
D’Andre is a playmaker. If the Lions want to have any chance in this game, they will have to feed him the ball. Look for Swift to have an insanely busy day out of the backfield against a tough Rams defense.
Sal – Over
Swift is the focal point of the Lions offense. Jamaal Williams has gotten less work each week, and it’s truly Swift’s time to shine. In a game where the Rams should dominate, I expect Goff to look Swift’s way often.
Darrell Henderson – 102.5 Rush+Rec Yards
Mikey – Over
The Lions defense has struggled this season. They’ve lacked run stopping ability. Henderson should have another big day against a bad defense.
Sal – Under
This is more of a toss up than anything. Henderson has been amazing for the Rams this season, and I don’t doubt he’ll get a lot of touches again this week. Additionally, I do think that there’s a strong possibility the Rams spread the ball aroun
