The Impact Injury Report for Week 5; for all your up-to-date injury information.
There are many things that can affect fantasy football lineups, but injuries are a big area of concern. Becoming a fantasy football league winner is all about how you adjust to the injury report regarding players on your roster. So let’s take a look at the Impact Injury Report – Week 5. If you missed last week’s injury report, you can find that here.
Kenny Pickett (QB) – Pittsburgh Steelers
Kenny Pickett went down with a knee injury in Sunday’s 30-6 loss to the Houston Texans, and did not return. It does not sound like his knee injury is something to worry about though.
Steelers’ QB Kenny Pickett is not expected to miss much if any time due to the knee injury that forced him to leave Sunday’s game, per sources. Pickett could try to push this week vs. Baltimore but the team also knows it has a bye the next week and could opt to rest him.

Worst case scenario, it sounds like Pickett might miss one week, but that is still up in the air at this time.
Fantasy Impact: Medium-Low
Javonte Williams (RB) – Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos had a great 31-28 comeback win against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, but lost their starting running back in the process. Javonte Williams suffered what appears to be a hip flexor strain and could miss some time.

Hip flexor strain: as suspected, there was concern for soft tissue injury.
Could (likely) be compensatory from ramping up too quickly off of ACL.

Much like the Pickett injury, we will have to wait and see how much time Williams could miss. At this point, the Broncos will likely make sure that he is fully healed after coming off a season-ending knee injury last season.
Fantasy Impact: Medium
Mike Evans (WR) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Good news, Mike Evans‘ managers. It does not sound like Evans will miss any time, seeing as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a bye in Week 5.

While the injury to Evans could be re-aggravated easily — like many leg injuries — it could not have happened during a better week with the bye week approaching.
The bad news about the injury is that if he does miss time, your opponent who has Chris Godwin could see a major uptick in points.
Fantasy Impact: Low
Tee Higgins (WR) – Cincinatti Bengals
One of the more worrisome injuries this week happened to Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. It sounds like a rib fracture, which can take some time to heal.

The Bengals are struggling mightily so far this season, and taking a hit to the receiving corps will not help any. However, a matchup with the Arizona Cardinals might literally be what the doctor ordered.
If Higgins does miss time, the Bengals have two more games before their bye week. Resting Higgins might be the best plan of action, but it is awfully tough to talk professional athletes out of missing playing time.
Fantasy Impact: Medium-High
Pat Freiermuth (TE) – Pittsburgh Steelers
Another Pittsburgh Steelers starter is dealing with an injury, and this one could cost Pat Freiermuth some time.

With multiple Steelers’ starters dealing with injuries early in the season, Mike Tomlin’s streak of winning seasons might be coming to an end. Pickett and Freiermuth injuries create a big hole and the next couple of weeks could be telling as to how this team deals with adversity.
Fantasy Impact: High
