NFL Fantasy Football 2023: Impact Injury Report – Week 7

The League Winners, Fantasy Football, NFL Injury Report

The NFL Impact Injury Report for Week 7; for all your up-to-date injury information.

There are many things that can affect fantasy football lineups, but injuries are a big area of concern. Becoming a fantasy football league winner is all about how you adjust to the injury report regarding players on your roster. So let’s take a look at the NFL Impact Injury Report – Week 7. If you missed last week’s injury report, you can find that here.

Justin Fields (QB) – Chicago Bears

Justin Fields is dealing with a dislocated thumb, and he is doubtful to play in Week 7. There is no timetable for Fields’ return, so this situation is one to keep a close eye on.

The Bears’ offense has suffered multiple injuries in the last couple of weeks, and comes at a time when the offense was finally gaining some momentum.

Fantasy Impact: High

Ryan Tannehill (QB) – Tennessee Titans

Quarterbacks took some hard hits this week. Ryan Tannehill is dealing with a similar injury that cost him time last season. The question now is who will start at quarterback for the Titans: Will Levis or Malik Willis?

The Titans offense will look for a spark from whomever takes the reigns at quarterback in Tannehill’s absence.

Fantasy Impact: Medium

Trevor Lawrence (QB) – Jacksonville Jaguars

Another quarterback, another leg injury. Trevor Lawrence is dealing with a knee sprain and it is not known if he will be ready for the team’s Week 7 matchup with the Saints on Thursday night.

The Jaguars are currently in first place in the AFC South, but Lawrence’s absence from practice on Monday is not a good sign on a short week. If Lawrence is unable to go on Thursday night, be weary of starting Jaguars’ receivers and running backs, as the offense looks to him for a lot of production.

Fantasy Impact: High

Jimmy Garoppolo (QB) – Las Vegas Raiders

Yet another quarterback went down on Sunday, and like many of the others, there is doubt as to whether or not he will start in Week 7.

While it seems the injury to Jimmy Garoppolo could have been a lot worse, it is still worrisome that a quarterback who seems to always be hurt throughout his career is dealing with yet another injury.

Fantasy Impact: Medium-High

Kyren Williams (RB) – Los Angeles Rams

The Rams’ running back is dealing with an ankle injury that could cost him multiple weeks.

Kyren Williams has been a blessing and big part of the Rams offense this season, and his presence will be missed while he recovers. However, coach Sean McVay is no stranger to finding good running backs to step in and take over games.

Fantasy Impact: High

David Montgomery (RB) – Detroit Lions

The Lions’ backfield has been banged up for much of this season, and David Montgomery will miss some time with a rib cartilage injury.

Montgomery has been a touchdown machine for the Lions, having rushed for six touchdowns already this season. In his absence, rookie Jahmyr Gibbs will hope to have a breakout performance — or a few — and put some pressure on the Lions to use him more effectively for the remainder of the season.

Fantasy Impact: High

Christian McCaffrey (RB) / Deebo Samuel (WR) – San Francisco 49ers

Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel are both dealing with injuries, but to different parts of the body. McCaffrey is hampered by an oblique injury and Samuel is struggling with a shoulder injury.

While not much is known at this time, McCaffrey’s injury is something to watch closely, as he has a lengthy injury history. The 49ers’ biggest concern other than McCaffrey and Samuel’s injuries is how to rebound from a brutal loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: Very High
