The NFL Impact Injury Report for Week 9; for all your up-to-date injury information.
There are many things that can affect fantasy football lineups, but injuries are a big area of concern. Becoming a fantasy football league winner is all about how you adjust to the injury report regarding players on your roster. So let’s take a look at the NFL Impact Injury Report – Week 9. If you missed last week’s injury report, you can find that here.
Matthew Stafford (QB) – Los Angeles Rams
Stafford is dealing with a sprained UCL in his thumb and is considered day-to-day. This is an injury to keep an eye on, as Stafford had the same injury in 2020.
Matthew Stafford #RamsHouse
Day-to-day with a thumb UCL sprain. The day-to-day tells us the injury is not severe enough to cause instability of the thumb. Ability to play dependent on getting pain/swelling down and restoring grip strength.
Definitely possible to play this… pic.twitter.com/cwmFqn7rPg

Something to keep an eye on is Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua with Stafford hurt, as they will likely see production dip even if Stafford continues to play with the injury.
Fantasy Impact: High
Kirk Cousins (QB) – Minnesota Vikings
Possibly the worst injury of the weekend belongs to Cousins, as it has been confirmed that he tore his Achilles in Sunday’s win against Green Bay. Cousins was playing MVP-caliber football this season, and this might be a loss that derails the Vikings’ hopes of a division crown.
Kirk Cousins could tell instantly his injury was bad. He probably knew he tore his Achilles right away.
Just as the cart is about to take him to the locker room and with his season over, you can see him look up in a key moment and cheer on his team as they battle for a division… https://t.co/fbBCqJPsS8

Just when the Vikings were playing great and looking to go 4-4, Cousins went down. Although the team still won, there were several stressful sequences without Cousins behind center.
Fantasy Impact: Very High
Kenny Pickett (QB) Pittsburgh Steelers / Tyrod Taylor (QB) New York Giants
Both Pickett and Taylor are dealing with rib injuries and are questionable to play in Week 9. While the extent of both of their injuries differs, ribs can be tricky throughout the season, even once they are healed. Both offenses struggled to produce without their starting quarterbacks, so definitely something to watch. In Pickett’s case, the Steelers play on Thursday night, so his situation might be tougher to call.
Fantasy Impact: Medium
Drake London (WR) – Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons saw limited action from Bijan Robinson last week because of headaches, and this week the team lost wide receiver Drake London to a groin injury.

Groin strain
Hopefully only grade 1
Usually these take 10-14 days to heal.
Falcons have a bye in Week 11, so if this is a mild injury he could play in W9 with increased reinjury risk (~15-20%).
Most players miss 1 game.
If it’s more severe, like… https://t.co/bVjw3QlAHX

It seems as if London’s injury is not severe and is less than what the team thought initially, but this is still a situation to monitor if you have London on your fantasy roster.
Fantasy Impact: Medium
Kendrick Bourne (WR) – New England Patriots
Much like the Cousins’ injury, this one was one of the major injuries of the week. Bourne left Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins with a season-ending torn ACL. Bourne stayed down after being tackled in the fourth quarter and left the game.

Some concern for right ACL injury just before getting tackled on his plant.
Hopefully I’m wrong on this one.

He has been a bright spot in what has otherwise been a dismal season for the Patriots, and Bourne marks the third Patriots’ player to suffer a season-ending injury so far this season.
Fantasy Impact: Medium-High
Darren Waller (TE) – New York Giants
Waller has been dealing with injuries throughout the season and has been unable to find his rhythm yet. Now, he is dealing with a hamstring injury that could sideline him. However, it appears to be minor and not related to the hamstring injury he dealt with earlier this season.

Even though it is not related, that makes it two-for-two on hamstring injuries this year for Waller, so keep a close watch on this injury.
Fantasy Impact: Medium
