NFL Week 1 Bets, Picks, and Predictions

Harry Prskalo

  • Cowboys +2.5
  • Cardinals vs. Bills (Over 47 total points)
  • Falcons ML
  • Tank Dell 52.5 Rec Yards – Over (-114)
  • Matthew Stafford 1.5 Pass TDs – Over (-158)

Dell and Stafford are the two players that have some very intriguing props in Week 1 of the NFL season.

Regarding Tank, the Indianapolis Colts have one of the worst secondaries in the league. There will be plenty of airing out the ball, and when CJ Stroud starts to do that he loves Dell. Last season when Houston faced off against Indianapolis, Tank went for seven catches, 72 yards, and one touchdown. There will be plenty of opportunity for this to happen, and with Tank, it can be done in one catch.

When it comes to Stafford, this can easily be done very quickly. The last time Stafford faced against his old team, he threw for three touchdowns. The offense is one of the best in the league when they are healthy and it is looking like that will be the case. Last season the Detroit Lions were the second best defensive team in rushing yards per game. They only allowed an average of 88.8 rushing yards a game. Stafford will have to throw and you know he wants to show out against his old team.

Michael Cavallo

Robinson and Allen are two players to keep an eye on for Week 1’s player props. During the 2023-24 season, Robinson logged 5+ targets 11 times and caught five or more passes six times throughout the year.

As for Allen, the Buffalo quarterback rushed for 35+ yards seven times last season. The last time Allen faced the Cardinals was in 2020 when he recorded seven carries for 38 yards in a 32-30 loss. With the departure of Stephon Diggs and Gabe Davis, look for Allen to use his legs more in Week 1 to get the Buffalo offense going.

Brandyn Pokrass

Against the Eagles, there is potential opportunity for Reed. Facing an unproven Eagles secondary, the wideout can take advantage and rack up a big game through the air. As the possible WR1 in Green Bay, 41.5 yards is a small bar to clear and could be a great value.

For McBride, Buffalo is without Matt Milano in Week 1. Take advantage of a great matchup by getting McBride at plus odds, and possibly look to get him as a multi-touchdown scorer.

Evan Solomon

The Dolphins will put up points against the Jaguars, meaning Trevor Lawrence will need to pass the ball to keep up with their high powered offense. Expect Lawrence to look for his first-round receiver in an offense that has plenty of vacated targets from last year with the departure of Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones.

Just like the Jaguars, the Bills have a lot of vacated targets with a lot of new faces for Josh Allen. It would be wise for him to rely on a player with which he already has some rapport with in Kincaid, and against an offense in the Cardinals that can put up points.

Brandon Haye

  • Patriots vs Bengals – (Under 40.5 Total Points)
  • Vikings -1.5
  • Buccaneers ML
  • Travis Etienne 60+ Rush Yards (-105)
  • Rashid Shaheed 36.5 Rec Yards – Over (-114)

The Patriots may have the worst offense in the NFL and the Bengals will not be at their ceiling with players missing time. It’s hard to trust Daniel Jones in this game with the attacking defense of Brian Flores.

As for the Vikings, there’s a real chance that Sam Darnold will do enough to get the win here even on the road.

The Jaguars need to keep the ball away from the Dolphins and the best way is to get Etienne going. The offensive line has look improved in the preseason and this prop is number they can get in Week 1 with fresh legs from Etienne.

Finally, Shaheed is a big play player that could get this in one play of the game. He built good chemistry with Derek Carr last season and in his only game against the Panthers he had 63 yards.
