NFL Week 2 Bets, Picks, and Predictions
Michael Cavallo
- Jets (ML) (-196)
- 49ers (ML) (-225)
- Chargers -4.5 (-115)
- Jayden Daniels over 49.5 rushing (-120)
- Brock Bowers over 45+ receiving yards (+135)
Against Tampa Bay, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels led Washington on the ground with 88-yards on 16 carries. Also, the rookie quarterback led the team in attempts, carrying the offense with his legs. Look for Daniels to use his legs in Week 2 as the Commanders slowly figure out their offense.
As for the Raiders Brock Bowers, the rookie tight end led the team in targets. Bowers had six receptions for 58-yards on eight targets. As the game went on, Bowers and quarterback Gardner Minshew chemistry started to grow and will carry into Week 2.
Brandyn Pokrass
- Chargers ML (-235)
- Chiefs -5.5 (-110)
- Tampa Bay +7.5 (-115)
- Jayden Daniels Anytime TD (+115)
- Derrick Henry Over 69.5 rushing yards (-140)
Against the Giants, I see Jayden Daniels finding paydirt on the ground. I am not confident in New York’s defense, especially against a mobile quarterback. The former LSU star should have plenty of room to operate and make big plays on Sunday.
As for Derrick Henry, the Raiders were gashed by J.K. Dobbins and the Chargers on the ground last week. Henry is better than Dobbins, and the Ravens are even more committed to the run. Henry should have plenty of room to operate and should easily hit his mark of 70 rushing yards.
Evan Solomon
- Jaguars ML (-164)
- Patriots +3.5 (-115)
- Colts ML (-156)
- Aaron Jones Anytime TD (+110)
- Alexander Mattison Over 25 receiving yards (+245)
The 49ers allowed Breece Hall to score on the Jets’ first trip to the red zone in Week 1, and Aaron Jones showed that he had juice left in the tank last week. Even if it was against a bottom Giants defense, he looked good and fast when he went 14 for 94 yards and a touchdown. I expect him to get into the endzone again this week.
The Las Vegas Raiders will be trailing against the Baltimore Ravens, one of the best teams in the league, and will have to play catch up in this game. Being that Mattison is the receiving back in this offense, and the fact that they will be trailing and forced to throw the ball, I expect Mattison to clear the over of 25 yards for the Raiders this weekend.
Brandon Haye
- Chargers -4.5 (-115)
- Colts/Seahawks ML Parlay (+148)
- Raiders vs Ravens O41.5 (-105)
- Tony Pollard Anytime TD (+125)
- Aaron Jones over 16.5 Rec Yards (-114)
The New York Jets struggled to stop the run last week and that can happen again this week. Tony Pollard took lead of the backfield in Week 1 and the Tennessee Titans will look to lean on the running game with Will Levis struggling last week.
The San Francisco 49ers have a stout defense but give up some catches to running backs out of the backfield. Breece Hall had five catches for 39 yards last week and Jones has always been a threat out of the backfield.
