NFL Week 9 Bets, Picks, and Predictions

Harry Prskalo

Patrick Mahomes is set to go up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which allow the fifth most passing touchdowns in the league, and the third most passing yards, Mahomes is set up to have a field day against this defense.

Saquon Barkley was a victim of the tush push last week as Hurts scored multiple rushing touchdowns. This week he has the opportunity to have a monster game. The only team this season that did not have a good rushing game or a rushing touchdown against this defense has been the New England Patriots. Expect plenty of opportunities for Barkley to get one in.

Michael Cavallo

  • Commanders ML (-200)
  • Bears (+1.5) (-110)
  • Seahawks (+1) (-110)
  • Derrick Henry 80+ Rushing Yards (-175)
  • Dak Prescott 250+ Passing Yards (-170)

Heading into Week 9, Baltimore Raven running back Derrick Henry has been on a tear this season. The former Alabama prospect is averaging 118.3 rushing yards per game this season. Henry has rushed for over 80+ yards in six out of eight games this season.

As for Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott, the former Mississippi State prospect is averaging 263.6 passing yards this season (seven games). With the Cowboys lacking a rushing attack, Prescott’s arm will need to carry Dallas to victory against the Falcons.

Brandyn Pokrass

  • Falcons ML (-180)
  • Saints -7 (-110)
  • Colts vs. Vikings O 46.5 (-110)
  • Trey McBride O 52.5 Receiving yards (-110)
  • Jayden Daniels O 228.5 Passing yards (-113)

The Bears bring a very talented secondary to their matchup against the Cardinals. However, their linebackers offer a bit of opportunity in the passing game. McBride will likely be a consistent target for Kyler Murray once more and should be able to eclipse his line on Sunday.

As for Daniels, the Giants secondary has struggled big time this season. Washington will be throwing early and often, meaning that the star rookie should be able to pass his yardage line with relative ease.

Evan Solomon

The Bears play the Cardinals and their bottom ranked rushing defense, and D’Andre Swift has scored in four straight games. He’s been on a heater as of late, and this week looks to be no different.

The Vikings play the Colts, and with Joe Flacco at the helm that team can definitely compete. Given that Justin Jefferson is a key part of the Vikings offense, in order to put up points they will need to get him the ball. It doesn’t hurt that the Colts defense is bottom 10 in a number of categories. Expect Jefferson to get more than 80 yards receiving.

Brandon Haye

  • Jaguars vs Eagles O45.5 (-118)
  • Lions -2.5 (-118)
  • Broncos +9.5 (-120)
  • Chase Brown 60+ Rushing Yards (-128)
  • Bijan Robinson 60+ Rushing Yards (-188)

The Raiders give up the 13th most rushing yards to teams per game. Zack Moss is doubtful this week and Chase Brown should get more touches this week.

The Cowboys struggle against the run and give up over 109 rush yards per game. Bijan Robinson has 60 or more rushing yards in the last four games.

Brandon grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and works as a health insurance data analyst. He has no children, but two fur babies - Squirt and Brownie. He and his wife, Katie, spend their time playing poker and enjoying time with their pups. Brandon is a huge Michigan Wolverine and Jacksonville Jaguars fan. He at one time was in 77 fantasy leagues and loves the game of football. Brandon started writing for The Leauge Winners in 2021.
