The 2023 season is about to kick off and most of us are either drafting or getting ready to draft. Let’s take a minute to look further into the season to anticipate which QB2 we should pair with our QB1 to best navigate their bye weeks. I bring you, my QB Bye Week Replacement Guide.
I want to set some parameters before we begin. For the sake of this article, I will be using the top-12 quarterbacks according to Fantasy Pros 1QB ADP. Those QBs will not appear as options as I am assuming they are rostered and are your starting quarterback.
I will break this guide down even further. For the “not in my league” crowd I will give various levels of options. For shallow leagues, I will list options that are between QB13 and QB16. Next, I will give standard league options. These options are quarterbacks ranked between QB16 and QB20. Lastly, I will give some deeper league options. These options are quarterbacks that are QB21 or lower in ADP.
Next to each opponent, you will see a number in brackets. That number is their rank against quarterbacks last season. 1 indicates the best possible matchup, and 32 indicates the worst possible matchup.
