Lamar Jackson vs the Houston Texans
Over 211.5 Pass Yards
Since becoming the full starter after his rookie year, Lamar Jackson has averaged around 203 passing yards per game. This will be a little over his career average, but with Todd Monken as his new coordinator I do believe there will be an uptick in passing volume.
Zay Flowers looks to be able to get great separation and may finally give Jackson the elite receiver to get the passing game to above average. I think the Houston Texans will make this more competitive of a game than people think, which would help give more passing opportunities for Jackson.
*** Please Note – Sleeper Picks has since taken this prop down ***
Sam Howell vs the Arizona Cardinals
Over 210.5 Pass Yards
I am very excited that Sam Howell is getting a shot this year; and in preseason, he looked impressive. You could not ask for a better opening opponent than the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona traded away key defenders and ranked near the bottom of the NFL last year, giving up over 230 yards per game.
Even if the Washington Commanders are missing Terry McLaurin I see this as a pretty easy over. There are enough weapons with Curis Samuel, Jahan Dotson, and Antonio Gibson to make this for a good passing day for Howell.
Khalil Herbert vs the Green Bay Packers
Over 8.5 Rec Yards
Last year the Green Bay Packers gave up the 11th-most fantasy points to running backs. Khalil Herbert looks to be the starter for the Chicago Bears and should get the bulk of the load.
Last year, starter David Montgomery averaged 2.5 targets per game. I believe Herbert is a better receiver out of the backfield. His last year in college at Virginia Tech, Herbert averaged over 17 yards per reception. I think this will be an easy over against the Packers.
Calvin Ridley vs the Indianapolis Colts
Over 62.5 Rec Yards
The Jacksonville Jaguars were top 10 in passing yards a year ago. I think the offense will be even better with Calvin Ridley. Last year as the number one receiver Christian Kirk averaged over 65 yards a game. Ridley is ready to go and in preseason showed he still has the juice that he had before his suspension.
George Pickens vs the San Francisco 49ers
Over 10 Fantasy Points
I know some may be scared off by the Pittsburgh Steelers facing the San Francisco 49ers, but the 49ers defense gave up the 6th-highest fantasy points to WRs last season. Kenny Pickett and the Steelers offense looked impressive in preseason and George Pickens ended his rookie year with six-of-nine games with 10 or more fantasy points.
