Film Notes and Highlights

Dallin Holkin is much like a lot of the tight end class for the 2024 NFL Draft – inconsistent. After three years at BYU, with little production, he had a big year at Colorado State. He lined up outside, in the slot and on the line in 2023. Holkin has soft hands and made many one-handed or shoestring catches on film. He is a fluid runner and after the catch he can make things happen. This year all but 35 of his YAC came on passes under nine yards. He has the ability to track the ball downfield but needs to develop into more of a deep threat.

Although he has good hands there were drops on tape and at the East versus West Shrine Game. The biggest weakness of his game is blocking. He shows poor technique and allows defenders to move past him before engaging. He will have to make huge strides in blocking to be in the game enough to be a relevant player. – Brandon Haye
