Film Notes and Highlights

Jarvis Brownlee Jr is a great press cover cornerback. Brownlee is not afraid to get physical with wide receivers, and is patient before reacting upon release. He has a slow first step, but makes up for it with a great football IQ. He’s also an excellent zone cover corner, knowing where he needs to be, and breaking off out of his zone at opportune times to make a play. Brownlee struggles with receivers going inside on their initial release, where at times he can be a step behind.

In the run game, Jarvis Brownlee likes to get physical. He will try to lay out ball carriers at any opportunity he can. While his technique can be improved, he shows fearlessness at the position and does not care about protecting himself. At the Senior Bowl, Brownlee greatly improved his draft stock with his physical style of play, stifling receivers at the LOS. I think Brownlee is a late Day 2 prospect. – Thomas Christopher
