Film Notes and Highlights
Johnny Wilson is a big-bodied wide receiver with a massive frame. He shows surprising short area quickness and impressive footwork for a player of his size. Wilson has an incredible catch radius with the ability to make ‘wow’ catches on the regular. However, an issue for him in his final year at Florida State were concentration drops.
As a route runner, Wilson succeeds at curls, comebacks, and quick slants. However, he lacks stem diversity and does not often attack the blind spot of DBs to get himself open on more intricate routes. I currently believe Johnny Wilson is a Day 2 wide receiver who has a massive ceiling if he goes to a good situation. – Thomas Christopher
